Purwien & Kowa walked into a time capsule and recorded an EP that sounds just as if it had been created in the 80s. Okay, maybe it wasn't a time capsule, but Las Vegas instead. This fact would be completely irrelevant, if the two hadn't written about it in the novel Vegas!
Vidi! Non Vici! that will be published at the same time.

Now, about the songs on Drei 80s, because that's what it's really all about.

Nochmal, could be the motto of this EP, because the song sounds as if the 80 were back. Naturally we might pass on the neon sweat bands and perms, but not on the music.

A Fake blares from the speakers, as if Italian Disco was the hottest shit once again. Naysayers claim Purwien & Kowa goes disco fox, but since the two gentlemen never took a dancing class in their life, they must be innocent, because they don't have a clue what disco fox is.

Change my world could be a love song, if Purwien & Kowa wrote that sort of thing. As it is, it's probably just a pleasant-sounding accident.

After that comes Pur(wien), a barely concealed homage to Hans Hölzel, aka Falco. It remains to be seen whether people in Vienna only live there for the honour of being buried at the main Viennese cemetery.

Augenblick (Rehberg Memory Mix) could have featured on the now-forgotten Rehberg album Exil. Experts are still divided on whether the album was justly or unjustly forgotten.
Only those that haven't forgotten it are; that is.

Für etwas mehr wins listeners over with the canonical singing that is paired with grim C64 beep bops… - er, we meant to say paired with great retro sounds that Purwien & Kowa crafted from a C64 with their own hands. A great hit!

Alright, enough said, now just listen to it and go back in time to the 80s.
